Whether he was in the White House or building homes for his fellow Americans, President Carter was committed to fighting for the little guy. That's something I've always admired about him.
His honesty, selflessness, and commitment to treating everyone with respect and dignity are a reminder of what our politics should *really* look like.
So let's honor his memory by trying to be a little bit more like he was every day. We'll all be a little better off for it.
