If we had to guess, you probably get a *lot* of them. And some of them probably don't treat you with much respect. In fact, they probably give you the ick. 🤢
"DONATE IMMEDIATELY and we'll QUADRUPLE your gift"
"[URGENT] FINAL NOTICE"
"If you don't pitch in, we will LOSE!"
^Seem familiar? These are just a few examples of the scammy + straight up dishonest tactics some campaigns + orgs use to squeeze people for donations.
Team Fetterman is proud to do things differently. We know you're not an ATM, and we will *never* treat you like one. It's real people like you who fuel our work, Faith — teachers, nurses, veterans, single parents, retirees, and more. And we couldn't be more grateful.
So although we still have to ask for money, we'll do it honestly and humbly: John's work to serve PA in the Senate is funded by small online donations. Will you consider making one today?
Seriously, John has been crystal-clear from Day One of running for U.S. Senate that we will NOT allow our campaign to lie or use other scammy tactics in our fundraising program.
We'll never act like the sky is falling if you don't give or trick you into a recurring donation — if we're asking for a recurring donation, we'll make that clear up front.
Plus, every deadline we share is real, and was set by our finance team or by the Federal Election Commission.
What we *will* do is explain how important your support is + give you the opportunity to chip in when you can. (If you don't today, that's 💯 cool with us.)
After all, $3 might not always feel like much. But the fact is that John would never have flipped PA blue and become a U.S. Senator if it weren't for many thousands of $3 donations. That's how powerful just a few bucks can be.
We have so much work to do this year, Faith. We need to take on extreme Republican attacks on basic freedoms, hold the incoming Trump administration accountable + rally support for popular legislation that actually helps working people. And all of that is going to require serious grassroots resources.
