Last week, the US Postal Service announced their plan to buy more than 60,000 new electric vehicles in the next five years. This massive investment is in part made possible by the Inflation Reduction Act, which made substantial investments in our electric vehicle infrastructure.
These thousands of vehicles will produce zero emissions. But this large purchase could also help bring down the cost of the electric vehicles for everyone, making them more affordable and accessible.
