The poet W. B. Yeats wrote that "peace comes dropping slow." In this season of goodwill and peace, we're reflecting on how that quiet work unfolds—in classrooms and communities, where teachers guide and young people carry forward the work of building a more compassionate world.
With gratitude, we wish you and yours a peaceful holiday season.

The latest update from the Germany and Zambia youth exchange project.
In a heartwarming collaboration, Zambian students recently joined their German peers in Germany. As part of the exchange, the participants recorded a song: "Voices".
Composed and recorded in just a few days, the song highlights pressing issues like poverty and malnutrition while calling for greater investment in girls' education and youth empowerment.
Working side by side in a recording studio near Reutlingen, Germany, the students poured heart and harmony into every lyric.
Jimmy Kells, an audience member at the Narrative 4 Ireland Benefit night in Dublin last week, reunited with his former student, N4 co-founder Colum McCann. The pair had not seen each other in 50 years. Jimmy taught Colum in St Brigid's National School in Dublin. They spent the evening reminiscing and laughing about the old days. It was a joyful reminder of the lasting impact teachers can have — and the enduring power of human connection.
Thank you to artists Colm Mac Con Iomaire, Lisa O'Neill, Séamus Ong, Tolü Makay, Frank Tate and Colum McCann for performing at this year's event. Thank you also to Aoife Woodlock (SoSimpatico).
