Just a Thank You

Hi friends,

As this year draws to a close, I wanted to step out from behind the screen for a moment and speak to you directly. 

If I'm being honest, this has been one of the most volatile and challenging years in Caskata's 18-year history. Between sudden tariff increases, disrupted supply chains, and the uncertainty that followed, we spent much of the first half of the year out of stock on many of the pieces you love most. That was painful for you, and for us.

And yet, here you are. Still setting beautiful tables. Still giving our pieces as gifts. Still choosing us in a world full of options. That loyalty means more than I can possibly say. So today is simply about saying thank you.

I also want to introduce you to the people behind the scenes, because Caskata isn't a big corporation. It's a team of just five women who live and breathe this brand every single day.

Leigh is the quiet force that keeps everything running. She makes sure inventory is where it needs to be, orders flow correctly from one system to another, and that the technology supporting Caskata actually works. When things feel seamless on your end, it's almost always because Leigh has spent hours making it so.

Austen leads our customer care — the kind, capable voice behind your emails and calls. She untangles the everyday knots of commerce with warmth, humor, and remarkable attention to detail. She also brings her retail-merchandising eye to our website, making sure our collections feel visually beautiful and delightfully easy to explore.

Jordana brings a calm, caring presence to customer service while also supporting our wholesale partners. She makes sure stores have the information they need about inventory and new products so those relationships and orders flow smoothly behind the scenes.

Kate is our detail-lover and product perfectionist. She ensures every listing, every photo, and every description is as clear, accurate, and beautiful as possible. With her cheery and friendly attitude, she's also the smiling face you'll meet in our showroom — and quite often the helpful voice on the phone when she comes up for air from a spreadsheet.

And then there's me. I focus on product design and photography, marketing strategy, and the financial side of things, which means most days feel like an advanced mental Pilates class as I balance creativity and spreadsheets in equal measure.

Together, we do everything — designing, sourcing, writing, photographing, shipping, answering emails, planning collections, forecasting inventory, and taking care of you. It's hands-on, it's personal, and it's done with a whole lot of heart.

One last thing I want you to know: your reviews matter more than you might realize. I personally read every single one. The kind ones bring me immense joy. The not-so-kind ones make me stop, think, and look carefully at what we can do better. They are one of the most important ways we learn and improve — and we are truly grateful for the time you take to share your experience with us.

As we head into a new year, I feel incredibly thankful for this team, for this community, and for the chance to keep making beautiful things for the tables where life happens. From my heart, and all of ours, thank you for being part of Caskata. Here's to a wonderful new year ahead!
