This is a bizarre turn of events.
Faith,
Here at Leaders We Deserve, we're doing everything we can to elect young, progressive leaders who will stand up to the gun lobby and fight for real solutions to confront the scourge of gun violence in America. Want to support our work? Contribute $5 or anything you can to help us elect the next generation of leaders!
Our co-founder, David Hogg, has talked about how the NRA is in shambles, facing a rapid decline in membership amid a flurry of corruption charges and legal fees.
But even we couldn't have predicted this bizarre turn of events:
We're sure you've heard the news by now about Republican South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem shooting her young dog and then boasting about it in her new book.
Now, according to Axios, Kristi Noem offered to step down from her position as governor to serve as the next VP or CEO of the NRA.
They have scrambled to find new leadership after Wayne LaPierre resigned in disgrace. They are running out of options – even Donald Trump, Jr., declined to lead the NRA.
Maybe we shouldn't be surprised that politicians like Kristi Noem are lining up to run the NRA – but it's a clear sign that the organization's days are numbered.
We are working to bring the school shooting generation into power who aren't afraid to take bold action to solve the gun violence epidemic. Donate $5 to help us elect our slate of young progressive candidates across the country.
