People often believe that Gen Z and Baby Boomers are stark opposites of each other. But that's a total myth.
Boomers and Gen Z actually have quite a bunch in common when it comes to gun control.
Both generations ducked under the same tables for bomb/safety drills. The only difference now is that Gen Z also practices for active shooter and general lockdown drills as well.
Both generations advocated for arms reduction policies. The generation of the Baby Boomers passed some of the largest arms reduction treaties in human history. Now, Gen Z will do the same thing passing domestic gun control bills to go one step further in protecting American lives at home.
Both generations had to cope with gun violence. Baby Boomers had to cope with the aftermath of 2 successful assassinations that happened as they grew up: John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr. Similarly, Gen Z found themselves in front of the muzzle of a gun at their schools over 340 times last year.
Just like the Baby Boomers passed arms reduction policies and took decisive actions to protect their lives, Gen Z must meet their moment in time now by passing the strongest, most effective domestic gun control policies known to man.
