Here's why these recurring donations are so helpful:
- They allow us to set a baseline for what we'll bring in in a given month so that we can budget that money toward our most pressing priorities.
- They help us get to work well before Election Day. A month before the election is too late to hire and train organizers, buy TV ads, and compete with more established, well-financed campaigns.
- They help create a snowball effect for our candidates. A lot of donors and organizations look at how much early money candidates raise to inform whether they should get involved, and recurring donations let us back young, progressive candidates early on to show their credibility.
We scored a big win last November when we elected our first endorsed candidate, Nadarius Clark, to the Virginia legislature. Now we have 13 more endorsed candidates to elect this year — but we can't do it without you!
