This is exactly why we launched Leaders We Deserve. Way too many of our country's leaders are content to sit back and do nothing while children get slaughtered at school. We can't let Trump set the precedent of doing nothing about school shootings and bragging about it as a campaign strategy. We deserve better than that.
We're focused on electing a new generation of leaders to state legislatures and Congress who actually want to solve problems, not take advantage of them for political gain because our candidates know the cost of doing nothing. We've seen it in the school shooting crisis, the housing crisis and the climate crisis. We know we can't pass these on to the next generation. That is why we are getting to work now to address them.
When we elected our first endorsed candidate last year, Nadarius Clark in Virginia, he got to work immediately and has already helped pass new common sense gun safety laws to keep our communities safe and killed a bill in committee to arm teachers.
We have a slate of 12 incredible candidates we're working to elect this year, with more to come, and we need your help to make sure all of them win.
