Faith,
Our organization does a lot of work on electing young leaders who are dedicated to making progress on issues plaguing the lives of young people all across the country like gun reform, access to healthcare, and the list goes on. A lot of these issues are not situations we have created, but all of them are issues that affect us.
There is one such issue that we will have no choice but to solve sooner rather than later: Climate Responsibility.
This month is Earth month, and it's an especially blaring reminder that we must lead on this issue for the surroundings we enjoy around us. It is about the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the produce we eat. These policies will dictate if we have nature around us for those moments when we laugh and dance in an open field or look up to the stars for inspiration. The decisions we make now will impact memories to come for generations that aren't even here yet.
Our country's lack of climate responsibility is something that we ought to solve as soon as possible. As clichéd as it sounds, we really only have one Earth and are going to be living here well past any politician who is failing us on climate policy now.
So Faith, we hope you will join us in calling for swift and decisive actions to protect our Earth through policies that double down on the positive Climate Responsibility we all share.
