Quarter after quarter, national insiders have transferred hundreds of thousands of dollars directly into Josh Hawley's campaign — and now that they can see our record-breaking grassroots momentum, they're going to do everything in their power to tear down Lucas and the movement we're building together.
At this point, it's not surprising. The insiders and elites backing Hawley have known Lucas was a threat since the day he got into this race. They've acted on it too, with a series of weird, desperate attacks and big investments into Hawley's campaign each quarter.
They know that, according to approval polling from Morning Consult, Josh Hawley is the least popular Republican senator up for re-election in 2024. And they know that multiple polls have already shown Lucas in a margin-of-error race with Hawley — making this race our best opportunity to flip a GOP-held U.S. Senate seat in this election cycle.
So with this news, we know those insiders are bound to ramp up their spending and attacks against Lucas from here on out.
