Last week, in the dead of night, Ron DeSantis signed a bill making abortions in Florida illegal at six weeks — a time at which many women don't even know they are pregnant yet.
As if it couldn't get any worse, DeSantis' legislation requires victims of rape and incest to show documents proving their trauma.
It's sick.
The only people who like it are a narrow slice of far-right Republican presidential primary voters.
But as a result of DeSantis' ambition, women will suffer. And they will need our help.

Ron DeSantis talks a lot about "freedom," but he is one of the most anti-freedom governors in the most anti-freedom political party. He bans books, restricts speech, makes it harder to vote and denies women the freedom to get the care they need.
