Memorial Day is a solemn day to remember the ones who gave the last full measure of devotion for our country, and for us.
You'd think a Veteran would honor that, and leave the politics to somebody else.
But on Memorial Day, of all days, Ron DeSantis decided to attack our Military. Too "woke" for him.
In doing so, he attacks the legacy of generations of Americans from marginalized communities who served and gave their lives. Apparently their sacrifice is worth less to him.
Don't tell us you're pro-military if you smear the people who serve in it, if you strip their rights away — and especially if you would pardon the traitors who attacked our democracy on January 6th.
That's DeSantis' record, and he's proud of it. But to us, it's unacceptable. And we can't let him get away with it.
