The next stimulus package

Faith — The COVID-19 pandemic continues to wreak havoc for millions of Americans, months after the first stimulus checks went out. New legislation could include more stimulus checks, unemployment assistance, eviction assistance and more. Partisan politics have prevented an agreement for a REASONABLE stimulus package. Now, we are on the brink of legislation that will offer help in the form of stimulus checks, unemployment assistance, rental assistance, eviction assistance, loan assistance and assistance to multiple areas of government that's struggling to survive. More than ever it seems that one person is slowing or stopping the progress of the stimulus package. That person is Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi. She has recently been criticized by members of her own party for letting the motivation for the perfect, meaning to get everything she wants, preventing the progress of good. This was demonstrated perfectly when Nancy Pelosi appeared on CNN Wolf Blitzer's show. She began by saying that she was working toward an agreement for the people. Her examples all indicated that the progress that was actually being held up was for personal "pet" projects. When Wolf Blitzer reminded Pelosi that many other Democrats feel she is being obstinate and holding up progress, she attacked Blitzer as well. Her true colors showed. Nancy Pelosi basically acts like she knows more of what the American people need than the people themselves.  This petition basically states that we, as the American people are not being adequately served by the government. Specifically we feel that people like Nancy Pelosi are allowing partisan politics and objectives to cloud the reality of what's needed. The American people need financial assistance NOW! We have stood idly by, waiting for the government to do their job and represent our needs. Now that our representatives have failed to do their job, we must do it for them. We, the undersigned, as American people who are suffering through an unprecedented pandemic are demanding action NOW, especially during the upcoming holiday season. We will not, for once in the lives of many, be able to visit family due to airline shut down and financial issues.
