They want the focus to be on their theatrics so that it won't be on the issues I laid out in my speech.
Hi Faith, it's Congresswoman Sarah McBride — John said I could reach out to you about something important.
You may have heard that I recently gave my first speech as Delaware's Congresswoman on the floor of the House of Representatives. And you may have also heard that the Republican who recognized me when I came to the podium used the moment to refer to me as the "Gentleman" from Delaware, "Mr. McBride." A thoroughly unoriginal schoolyard taunt against trans people.
In truth, they want the focus to be on their theatrics so that it won't be on the issues I laid out in my speech: the MAGA effort to gut our government at the expense of working people and my focus on bringing down costs and building a government that respects everyone.
Really, their attacks are about more than just me. The truth is they are using trans people as a pawn in their scheme to gut the federal government and line the pockets of Donald Trump's best friends.
But I refuse to be a pawn. I refuse to give them that power. And I refuse to let them get away with it.
That's why I'm going to spend every day fighting against their attempts to dismantle the federal government, and fighting for the things Delawareans elected me for — regardless of what kind of personal insults Republicans want to throw my way.
Republicans know what they're doing right now is unpopular, and that's why they're desperate to change the conversation. It's up to us to make sure they don't get away with it.
Faith, if you're with me, John and I could really use your support at this moment. Will you split a donation between our campaigns today and help us keep up the fight, no matter what gets thrown our way?

Thank you again to John for letting me reach out. And thank you for all of the support,
Sarah McBride
