I'm reaching out today to say thank you, Faith.
Because of a massive show of support from people like you – September was officially the best month EVER for the Leaders We Deserve email fundraising program. I am grateful beyond words to everyone who helped make this happen.
When Kevin and I launched this organization last year, we certainly had our high hopes for what we could accomplish. But just more than a year later, the impact we're already making is not something we could have anticipated or imagined.
Grassroots donations from this phenomenal team have already powered victories, like Nadarius Clark, now the youngest member of the Virginia legislature who already blocked a bill arming teachers, and Molly Cook, who we recently helped become the youngest and first openly-LGBTQ+ member of the Texas Senate.
With just about a month left until Election Day, we're pulling out all the stops to support our slate of 13 endorsed candidates in must-win races across the nation
Our candidates are young, bold, and unbought by corporate interests. And they're ready to get to work advocating for our progressive vision for this country's future.
But here's the thing: I've been on the ground working with these campaigns and I can tell you firsthand that many of them are operating under a shoestring budget. And since they don't take corporate donations and are unapologetic progressives, Leaders We Deserve is sometimes the biggest single contributor to their races.
We are making a REAL difference in these campaigns. And because of people like you getting involved and supporting our mission, I am feeling more optimistic than ever about our chances of electing these young progressive leaders in November.
And I am so excited about the potential for the future – year after year, cycle after cycle, Leaders We Deserve will be here doing the important work of building the Democratic bench and supporting the next generation of progressive leadership. I would not be surprised at all if one of our candidates is elected president one day.
