Like the entire Mexican-American community here in Uvalde, I was deeply saddened and angered by the shooting at Robb Elementary. Hearing all the stories of these predominantly Mexican-American kids and 2 school teachers was heart breaking, we lost part of our futuro. The only thing that is giving me hope is that fact that most of the community is coming together to try to help the families and friends impacted. The story of Maite Rodriguez is powerful. This is a moment when we can try to bring hope and inspiration to our future Latino generations.
