Jungpana

A heart-rendering tale of a British Sahib gratefully cupping his hands with water from a nearby rivulet to quench the thirst of his fateful servant who is on his deathbed, being fatally wounded while protecting the life of his master. The servant was Jung Bahadur and his last wish was a drink of Pana (water). Jung Bahadur died, but the area became known as JungPana - where Jung had his last drink of water.

This exquisite invoice of First Flush Jungpana is delicately floral, with a light cup and lingering woody notes.

Badamtam

Amongst the high-elevation estates that are 100% organic, located in the magical and mystical Himalayan heights with a majestic view of the 3rd highest mountain peak - Mount Kanchenjunga, Bandamtam tea estate has a 14ft. statue of the Buddha overlooking the estate.

The early invoice of Badamtam has a distinctly sweet and vegetal aroma and brews into a light and decadent cup with prominent notes of wild orchids and a hint of peonies.

Enjoy the teas from the garden of Christine Barnes planted in 1858! Barnes beg literally means the garden planted by Mr. Barnes - and the estate continues to make excellent teas from the top clonal bushes.

This is the first invoice of the season 2022 to be manufactured at Barnesbeg - a VAHDAM exclusive! Savour the freshness of early Spring in a cup - light amber with a delicate floral 'nose' that reminds you of freshly sprung flowers in the garden of Mr. Barnes.
