Black-owned family farm

Faith — An 86-year-old Black farmer could have his family farm taken away by United Healthcare. Lee Holley and his brothers have owned one of the largest Black farms in Texas. They've survived racist threats and even vandalism. But United Healthcare is suing to take away the farm, because Lee's daughter is in a court fight with the company. Lee's family started this petition to save the Holley farm. Sign now to tell United Healthcare to stop their efforts to take away this family's farm and livelihood.

A 500 acre farm has been in the Holley family in rural East Texas for over 50 years. Lee Holley and his two brothers, Willie and Rudolph Holley endured all forms of racism including death threats & property vandalism throughout the years to own and protect one of the few black-owned  & one of the largest black farms in Texas. Now their fight is with a multi-billion dollar corporation. The fate of the family farm - held in trust by Mr. Holley's oldest daughter, a physician -- hangs in the balance.

Mr. Holley's daughter, Dr. Lisa Holley is the target of a billing dispute with UnitedHealthcare. Despite multiple overtures to settle with UnitedHealthcare, Dr Holley's plea to settle has fallen on deaf ears. This $300 billion healthcare company is determined to take this black family's farm.

Their reason for living and their legacy, Mr. Holley and his elderly brothers still farm & raise cattle on this land. Please sign the petition to save the Holley Farm.
