Coronavirus & your community's safety

Dear Faith —

Life in America is changing quickly and drastically in response to coronavirus.

Many are feeling fear and frustration. We're worried about the health and wellbeing of ourselves and our loved ones. I see that in the inspiring ways people like you are using Change.org to fight for the safety of your communities.

In a world where people can't take to the streets, Change.org is the digital platform where you can raise your voice and take action. And that's exactly what folks like you are doing. Here are a few inspiring examples:

Maryanne has gathered nearly 200,000 signatures to demand that the government address the coronavirus test kits shortage.

Heather is petitioning the FDA to allow people like her – who suffer chronic pain – to obtain more than the usual 30-day supply of medication. She wants chronic pain patients to have the resources they need to stay healthy and functional in this worrying time.

Kate wants to see major news organizations lower paywalls on COVID-19 coverage. She says that everyone needs free access to critical information – and her petition is working. Outlets like the New York Times and the Miami Herald are already taking the lead.

If you have an idea of what should be done to protect vulnerable communities, consider starting your own petition for free.

While we can't be sure what is to come, we can tell you that serving people like you during this crisis is our top priority. As always, we'll be here to help you make the change you want to see in the world – the kind of change that could save lives.

In solidarity,

P.S. Change.org is a public benefit company that exists to empower people to create change in their communities. In moments like this, we rely on the generosity of people like you to help keep our tools and services free for everyone.
