Whenever Donald Trump is losing, he reaches for the same playbook: Relitigate 2020, spread debunked conspiracy theories about the election, and try to convince Americans they can't trust the next election.

He's doing it again right now.

This time, he's trying to cast doubt on Georgia's elected leaders — including my friend, Jon Ossoff, who is up for re-election this fall.

Remember, this is the same man who was impeached for trying to overturn Georgia's 2020 elections — asking the secretary of state to simply “find” him more votes.

Here's the truth about why Trump keeps going after Jon: He's exactly the kind of public servant Trump fears most.

Trump wants this election to be about his grievances. Jon wants it to be about lowering costs, expanding affordable housing, protecting the freedom to vote, and making government work for ordinary people.

And Jon doesn't just talk about it. He fought to cap insulin at $35 a month for Georgia seniors. He's leading the charge to ban members of Congress from trading stocks. He won't take a dime from corporate PACs or federal lobbyists.

Donald Trump can't run against that record. So he lies about the election instead.
