Sangria recipe. Sangria Tip: One of the best things about this recipe? No need to keep the fruit in those thin, pretty slices! You'll be straining the sangria after it's had time to infuse, so a rough chop is all you'll need here. As with all sangrias, fresh is best: use whatever's in season at your local market - we love experimenting with different flavor profiles. Below is a simple recipe with the basics, but let us know what you decide to add!

Ingredients: 1 green apple, cored and roughly chopped. 1 orange, quartered. 1/2 pint strawberries, hulled and quartered. 1 bottle Spanish Red Wine (we love a Rioja). 1/2 cup cointreau. 1/2 cup orange juice

Instructions: Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher the day before you plan to adventure and chill in the refrigerator overnight. Just before leaving, strain the sangria into your flask and you're ready to go! It'll stay cold all day, and taste even better out on the trail (or at the beach, picnic or wherever you're off to).
