We need another 395 donations before midnight.
That's just a few hours from now.
And donations have dropped off precipitously.
Also, Matt Gaetz stole our time machine.
We're pretty sure it was him. Of course, without a time machine, we can't go back and check. Ugh — so many paradoxes with time travel! (And he probably trashed it, so we wouldn't even want it back.)
Anyway, we can't do anything but watch the seconds tick by.
Seemingly faster.
And faster.
And faster.
Maybe 395 donations sounds easy for an organization like Public Citizen.
But here's the thing:
When we get this close to a make-or-break deadline, so many people seem to figure enough other people will chip in that hardly anyone actually does.
So we're asking:
