Not one, but two chances

Faith, Donald Trump and Republicans love to say they're going to protect IVF.

Trump even claimed during the debate earlier this month that he was a "leader" on IVF.

But Senate Republicans have blocked IVF protections from passing through Congress not once, but TWICE now — the latest time happening just this week.

All that talk about being the party of family values. All that talk about leading on this issue. But when it's time to put their vote where their mouth is…nothing. You would think Trump, the "leader" on this issue, would be calling Republican members and urging them to vote yes.

Look, women are not stupid. We're not buying this. We know that this has always been about conservatives controlling women's bodies. And we're fighting back.

I'm going to keep calling out their hypocrisy and making their record clear to voters. Because so much is on the line in this election. Abortion rights, birth control, IVF treatments, everything. Republican opposition to IVF is terrifying. But it should not surprise us.

Trump set the stage for this when he stacked the Supreme Court with justices who overturned Roe v. Wade. Since then, Republicans have been doing everything they can to control our bodies, and put doctors and IVF clinics in legal jeopardy if they provide care.

Who is affected by these decisions on IVF access? Families who have been wanting and praying to start a family. Women who have been injecting themselves for weeks, months, or years to try to have a baby. Parents who have spent an entire life's savings to become pregnant. LGBTQ families who have spent years breaking down every obstacle in front of them are a family. People who are on their last hope.

The American people want reproductive freedom. We want to support parents, and we want to support people's decision on if and when they want to become a parent. It's their choice to decide, not the government's.

I won't stop fighting for everyone's right to make that choice. And I won't stop fighting to secure the Congress we need to pass legislation that will protect reproductive freedom across the country. If you believe in this fight, please pitch in $28 or anything you can to make this work possible.
