We don't do this work for glory or recognition.
Did you see this, Faith? David and Leaders We Deserve are back in the news:
At Leaders We Deserve, we don't do this work for glory or recognition. That said, it's always a good thing when we can get our message and our mission in front of even more people – so I was glad to see this recent write-up about our success.
If you're already with us in the fight to elect the next generation of bold leaders who will fight for our progressive values, will you pitch in $5 right now?
The new article from The Trace tells the story of how David Hogg, a survivor of the Parkland school shooting, and Kevin Lata, Rep. Maxwell Frost's former campaign manager, launched Leaders We Deserve to elect young progressive candidates.
It highlights some of the notable folks on our Advisory Board, like Arne Duncan, former Education Secretary for President Barack Obama, who had this to say:
And most exciting of all, the article discussed some of the wins that Leaders We Deserve has already accumulated over the past year, including electing Nadarius Clark to the Virginia legislature last fall and then securing back-to-back victories in Molly Cook's primaries and the special election in Houston, officially making her the youngest and FIRST EVER openly LGBTQ+ member of the Texas Senate.
Faith, I'm proud to work for Leaders We Deserve because I truly believe that this organization is changing the future for the better. We're playing the long game and at the same time, we're making tangible progress right now in this election.
Can we count on your $5 contribution now to elect our endorsed slate of young progressives this year AND build a strong bench of our future leaders?
