The Missouri Supreme Court just confirmed that the initiative to restore reproductive freedom in Missouri will officially appear on the November ballot. I want to explain more about what happened and how this decision impacts our U.S. Senate race. Last Friday night, Judge Limbaugh (of the powerful Limbaugh political family) ruled in favor of Josh Hawley’s insider allies in a last-minute effort to REMOVE Missouri’s abortion rights initiative from the November ballot. It was an unprecedented attack on our freedoms and our ability to even participate directly in Missouri’s democracy. But their efforts just failed. The Supreme Court has confirmed abortion will indeed be on the ballot in Missouri this November. Now let’s talk about how this connects to our U.S. Senate race. Since 2022, voters in red and purple states across the country — like Michigan, Kansas, Kentucky, and Ohio — have overwhelmingly approved measures to secure abortion rights. And with Missourians’ streak of approving pro-freedom measures — like raising the minimum wage, expanding Medicaid, and legalizing weed all by huge margins since 2018 — we know our state has what it takes to restore abortion access and protect reproductive rights this year. Josh Hawley has the most extreme record on abortion, birth control, and IVF of ANY member of the U.S. Senate. He’s spent his entire career crusading against the freedom for everyday people to make decisions about how to live their own lives and build their own families. And he’s even cosponsored a national abortion ban that would overturn the will of the voters here in Missouri and every other state in America. Missouri’s election is going to be about freedom — and it’s going to cut across party and all the ways that politicians like Josh Hawley have tried to use to divide us. This November we’re going to defeat this abortion ban in Missouri, and we’re going to secure our freedoms nationwide. That’s why I’m coming to you directly to ask: Can I count on you to chip in whatever you can to my campaign right now so we can build on this historic momentum, defeat Josh Hawley, and restore reproductive rights nationwide this November? This election is our one and only chance to replace Josh Hawley and take back power for everyday Missourians — and we absolutely cannot afford to waste it. I couldn’t do it without you. Now let’s get this done. From here on, it’s up to us. We’re taking our power back in November.
