The term "public service" means a great deal to me.
Inscribed on the State Finance building in Pennsylvania's capital, where I got my career in public service started, is a quote:
"All public service is a trust, given in faith and accepted in honor."
These are words that guide me to this day.
It gives me joy to work on behalf of our families, workers, and seniors each and every day. Pennsylvanians are hard working, steadfast, and kind people who deserve a Senator thinking about them.
As your Senator, I am reminded that you put your trust in me to fight for what's right. I earn that trust by doing what's right: fighting for workers' rights, women's rights, and voting rights — amongst other things.
Just look at my record in the Senate to see who I am fighting for. I am fighting for families who dream of going to the grocery store without worrying about rising costs on essentials like diapers or toilet paper. I am fighting for workers who want fair labor practices in their workplace.
My Republican opponent is doing the opposite, listening to his Wall Street backers and other GOP allies. He even lied about living in Pennsylvania, when in reality he lived in a mansion on the "Gold Coast" of Connecticut.
I believe you have to know people to represent them. Pennsylvania is my home, and I am honored to be able to serve the folks here. Will you pitch in $5 today to my campaign to help continue this mission?
