We can't believe February is almost here and with a baby, we know how busy this year has been already. Raising a child is no easy task and when you couple that with a career, it can take a toll on your health.
But fear not, we have you covered with some easy tips to destress.
First, set small achievable steps so you aren't overwhelmed (we know you already are, so why add more?) such as walking for just 10-15 minutes per day continuously (i.e. Take a few laps wherever you are while talking on the phone).
Next, before bed, find a nighttime yoga routine on YouTube. Get your body and mind in the best space possible to sleep well. Just 10 minutes will help put your mind at ease.
If you've already laughed off the yoga routine, try an even simpler form of this breathing exercise for 3-5 minutes when you are surrounded by some peace and quiet:
1. Inhale for 1-2-3-4, Exhale 1-2-3-4, Repeat
2. Inhale for 1-2-3-4-5, Exhale 1-2-3-4-5, Repeat
3. Continue this all the way to a count of 8
Inhale 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8, Exhale 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8
4. Now work your way all the way back to a count of 4.
Finally, be sure to put down your phone and don't look at it for the night.
