I'm the single mom with the whiteboard in Congress!
Hey Faith,
I'm Katie Porter. If you're wondering who I am, I'd say first and foremost I'm a single parent of three school aged kids. Second, I'm a progressive member of Congress. And I'm not here to put up with BS from Big Oil and Big Pharma executives. I'm fighting to lower costs for families, restore the nationwide right to an abortion, and protect our environment from greedy polluters.
You may also know me as the lady you've seen on C-SPAN with a whiteboard. As a former teacher, it was only natural I brought a whiteboard to Congress. It's been a very helpful tool in illustrating some of the corruption and greed we've seen from government officials and powerful CEOs, and it's also helpful for showing how grassroots supporters truly power our campaign.
