His former mentor, Missouri's three-term GOP U.S. Senator Jack Danforth, even said supporting Hawley in 2018 was "the worst decision I've ever made in my life." A handful of mega-donors to his previous campaigns publicly abandoned him too.
THEN: Morning Consult consistently found Josh Hawley with the worst approval ratings of any GOP U.S. Senator up for re-election this year — with numbers even lower than Ted Cruz in Texas and Rick Scott in Florida.
AND NOW: National insiders are doing everything they can to keep their grip on this U.S. Senate seat. They've transferred millions of dollars to Hawley's campaign, they've launched all kinds of desperate attacks at Lucas, and they won't stop until they're sure they can re-elect Josh Hawley this November.
