The last year has been a tough one for every small business like ours. Right from a severe COVID-19 second wave engulfing India in April to serious global supply chain delays due to port congestion & air cargo issues, there have been many unnerving moments.
But I am looking back at this year with a lot of gratitude, given we have been able to survive :)
We're taking a short break from your inbox, so I wanted to share a few highlights of all the progress we made as a team.
- We turned 6! But unlike every other year, we did not celebrate and instead launched a global fundraiser to raise funds and raised $86,000 for COVID relief. If you have not read about it yet, please take a moment to go through our IMPACT REPORT 2021. Click Here.
- We were featured in the Forbes 100 to Watch! Such recognitions add to our proud moments and are a great motivation for a young team like us.
- Our Limited Edition campaign was loved by all of you. We launched a limited edition blend every month over the last 12 months and most of them were SOLD OUT in less than 3 hours. We have to come back with something very exciting for this segment in 2022 as well.
- We raised a 24 US$ million round of funding. For us, this is nothing but a milestone that paves way for us to make available an even higher quality product to you in years ahead of us. We are making conscious & mindful investments in our supply chain & we will be happy to share it with you.
- In this funding round, 35 team members at Vahdam sold a small portion of their equity shares, which in turn helped them build a better future for themselves & their loved ones. Here's a heartfelt note from one of them. Read here.
- We moved to a 100,000 Sq ft facility in the National Capital Region of India.

- We became a part of the (RED) initiative and joined a league of iconic brands to contribute to the mission that will help us build stronger health systems to fight pandemics like AIDS & COVID. Know More

- And lastly, for a bit of a surprise, I turned 30 :) I feel slightly old but could not have been more excited about the future & grateful for the last few years I've spent building together something close to my heart.
